The Honor Flight Network Program

Honor Flight DFW (HFDFW) is an organization devoted to honoring our military veterans by taking them to Washington DC to visit the memorials built in their honor. The program got started by focusing on the Veterans of WWII who hadn’t seen the WWII memorial that was built in their honor and just completed in 2004.

Honor Flight DFW is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit and is the North Texas based hub of the nationwide Honor Flight organization. To date HFDFW has honored over 1,000 North Texas men and women who put on a uniform and prepared to give their life to protect the freedoms we all enjoy today.

The mission is big and time is short. As the WWII-era of the program is winding down, HFDFW is committed to continue to the next generation of heroes, our Korean War veterans, and then our Vietnam Veterans. This is a race against time and Honor Flight DFW is running hard to complete the mission.

The safety of these aged veterans is HFDFW’s number one priority. A volunteer is assigned to accompany each veteran and a complete medical team travels with each flight. It costs roughly $1,000 per veteran and HFDFW need’s any and all donations to get these old warriors to see their memorial before it’s too late.
